Giulia Gobbi

Role: Born in Parma (Pr) on 27th of October 1991, I graduated in Cellular and Molecular Biology at the University of Bologna in March 2017.

In February 2015 I started my research experience at the Translational Laboratory at the IRCCS - Arcispedale Santa Maria Nuova of Reggio Emilia as thesis internship.

My research experience was based on the characterization of the molecular mechanisms which cause the expression of the transcriptional factor RUNX2 in breast and thyroid cancers and I mainly focused on the role of chromatin regulating its genic expression. I also took part in the development of the preliminary data of a new project involving the role of BET-Inhibitors in lung cancer.

From 2017 I am a PhD student in Molecular and Cellular Biology and I work on mechanisms of resistance to BET inhibitors in cancer.
