Raffaele Frazzi

Role: Raffaele Frazzi is a molecular biologist. He graduated at University of Parma (M.S.) and next completed the Specialization in Clinical Biochemistry and the PhD in Molecular Biology and Pathology, both with University of Parma. During these period he got skilled in molecular and cellular biology and molecular immunology techniques.

He spent his Post-doc at University of California, San Diego (CA), where he worked on B lymphocytes immunology.

He has been working at Arcispedale S.Maria Nuova IRCCS since 2008 on lymphomas and he spent a short period at Universitè de Bourgogne, Dijon (France).

He is a member of Italian Society for Experimental Hematology (SIES), Italian Foundation on Lymphomas (FIL) and American Association for Cancer Research (AACR). His main focuses are lymphomas and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) where he is in charge of research projects experimental design and funding requests. Raffaele is a co-founder of the lymphoma and of the CLL Tissue Banks, embedded now in the research Biobank.

  • Grant issued by “GRADE foundation”, Reggio Emilia, Italy. Title: “Miglioramento della diagnostica molecolare nella leucemia linfatica cronica a cellule B mediante introduzione della digital droplet PCR per la valutazione della malattia minima residua” (December 2016).
  • Collaborator on a project funded by “Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Torino” on quantitative methylation of clock genes in post-mortem assessment (2017).
  • Grant issued by Gilead Italia: Gilead Fellowship Program 2019 entitled “The interplay between CTCF and promoter methylation in the regulation of gene expression in lymphoma cells” (July 2019).
