Giulia Gambarelli
I graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. During my studies, I completed an internship under the supervision of Prof. Daniela Quaglino, where I acquired skills in molecular biology. After that, in 2024, I pursued a Master's degree in Medical Biotechnologies with a focus on Personalized Medicine at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. During my master's program, I undertook an internship at the Translational Research Laboratory of AUSL-IRCCS Reggio Emilia under the guidance of Dr. Valentina Fragliasso. My thesis focused on characterizing the role of the chromatin remodeler HELLS and its impact on genomic stability in anaplastic large-cell lymphoma.
After that, I was awarded a post-graduate research fellowship at the same laboratory, where I further explored the molecular dynamics underlying the progression of T-cell lymphomas, focusing on identifying and developing specific inhibitors for HELLS.
Since November 2024, I have been attending a PhD in Clinical and Experimental Medicine (CEM) at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia while continuing my research activities at the Translational Research Laboratory of the AUSL-IRCCS in Reggio Emilia. My current research focuses on the mechanisms regulating gene expression in T-cell lymphomas.
