Laboratory of the Division of Paediatric Endocrinology - English version

The research Laboratory of the Division of Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetology in Paediatrics was founded around mid 2015 and performs mainly translational research. This Lab collaborates with other laboratories within this Insititute and with other external academic research laboratories. The main research interests are relative to paediatric and adolescent endocrine topics and aim to find and offer new knowledge useful to the understanding of growth, ovarian function and fertility to prevent the onset and development of these conditions, and to improve current treatments.The main interests are relative to conditions characterised by inflammation such as obesity and polycystic ovarian disease, conditions with short stature with cromosomal and genetic alterations. Moreover, this laboratory has an interest in Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals and their effects on human health.
