Laboratory of Biochemistry and Metabolomics - BioMetLab

The Laboratory of Biochemistry and Metabolomics (BioMetLab) is part of the Transfusion Medicine Unit of AUSL-IRCCS Reggio Emilia and conducts interdisciplinary research in the fields of oncology and transfusion medicine.
Our main focus is the characterization of biochemical, metabolic, and inflammatory processes in both cancer and clinical therapies, as well as in transfusion medicine products.
We are engaged in clinical, preclinical, and translational research, with the goal of rapidly transferring experimental data from the laboratory to clinical practice (“from bench to bedside”).
We actively collaborate with various departments within AUSL-IRCCS, regional Transfusion Centers, as well as national and international universities and research institutes.
Our strength lies in our direct integration with the clinical environment and the everyday reality of transfusion medicine. This enables us to develop research projects based on real clinical questions, with immediate impact on medical practice.
