Noemi Puccio

I graduated in medical biotechnology and molecular medicine at the University of Milan in 2022, after an internship at the laboratory of molecular onco-hematology, IRCCS Fondazione Ca’ Granda - Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico di Milano, under the supervision of the Professor Antonino Neri and with the support of senior researchers. My thesis project focused on the application of CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing system to unveil the biological and molecular role of the long non-coding RNA NEAT1 in multiple myeloma. Then, I obtained a post-graduate research fellowship in the same laboratory, where I had the opportunity to complete my project. Since November 2022, I joined the clinical and experimental medicine (CEM) PhD program at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and I carry out my research activity at the translational research laboratory of the IRCCS of Reggio Emilia. Currently, my research goal is to characterize the transcriptional role and the druggability of the long non-coding RNA NEAT1 in multiple myeloma.
