Selene Mallia

I graduated in Molecular and Health Biology (Molecular Biology curriculum) at the University of Palermo in October 2018. During my thesis project I attended the Institute of Biomedicine and Molecular Immunology “Alberto Monroy” (now IRIB) located at the National Research Council (CNR) in Palermo, where I studied the role and the regulation of the NFATc1 transcription factor in macrophages differentiation to osteoclasts. In May 2022, I obtained my PhD in Molecular and Regenerative Medicine at University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, attending the Center of Regenerative Medicine “Stefano Ferrari”. During this period, I focused my research on the study of tumor heterogeneity and leukemic progression of Myeloproliferative Neoplasms through Single cell-genomic approaches. Since December 2022, I am a Postdoc Researcher at the Laboratory of Translational at AUSL-IRCCS of Reggio Emilia. My research activity mainly concerns the characterization of long non-coding RNAs as a marker to improve the response to immunotherapy in T-cell Lymphoma.
