Teresa Rossi
I graduated in Medical Biotechnology at the University of Turin in 2012, with a project focused on the discovery of new molecular predictors of Cetuximab resistance in RAS and RAF wild-type colorectal cancer patients. Since 2013, I have been a fellow researcher at the AUSL-IRCCS of Reggio Emilia in the Laboratory of Translational Research, where I studied the effects of natural compounds on angiogenesis and tumorigenesis. I obtained my PhD in Biotechnology, Bioscience and Surgical Technology at the University of Insubria (VA) in 2018, with a project focused on the characterization of a long non coding-RNA associated to RUNX2, a transcription factor involved in thyroid and breast cancer development and progression. In 2019 I have been awarded by FIRC-AIRC Fellowship Program. Currently, I collaborate with Dr. Mariaelena Pistoni in several projects focused on the analysis of tumor metabolism, in particular lipid metabolism, associated to breast cancer progression and treatment response. In addition, we are engaged in the evaluation of mitochondria dynamics after drug treatment. Furthermore, I am the lab manager, and I coordinate and supervise the activities of the lab, as the maintenance and acquisition of new technologies, collaboration in clinical trials’ samples processing, managing training courses and required documentation.
