Valentina Fantini
I graduated in Neurobiology at the University of Pavia in 2017, with a thesis on innovative cellular models for the study of neurodegenerative diseases, using a three-dimensional bioprinter (3D bioprinter). Subsequently, in 2021, I obtained a PhD in Biomedical Sciences (Neuroscience curriculum) at the University of Pavia, in collaboration with the Abbiategrasso Brain Bank (ABB), with a project aimed at characterizing fibroblasts derived from the meninges and skin of human brain donors in the context of neurodegenerative diseases. After completing my PhD, I worked for one year as a PostDoc at the Golgi Cenci Foundation, where ABB is located, working on the transriptional mapping of different brain areas, in Alzheimer’s disease and Lewy Body dementia. In October 2022, I started my second year as a PostDoc at the Translational Research Laboratory of AUSL-IRCCS in Reggio Emilia, working on the role of coding and non-coding RNAs in regulating the cytotoxic activity of Natural Killer cells in the context of non-small cell lung cancer.
