Veronica Manicardi
In 2019, I graduated in Medical Biotechnology from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia with a thesis focusing on the role of lncRNAs in mediating TGF-beta signaling in thyroid cancer. Subsequently, I earned my Ph.D. in Clinical and Experimental Medicine from the same university in 2023. During my doctoral studies at the Laboratory of Translational Research in Reggio Emilia, I took my first steps into the field of bioinformatics, wherein I analyzed and integrated omics data to unravel the cooperative enhancers network orchestrating melanoma metastatic progression.
Since February 2023, I have worked as a Health Researcher, contributing my expertise to the Genomic Core Facility at tRes_Lab. My research activity is primarily focused on the investigation of epigenetic modifications and transcriptional alterations underlying the progression and metastasis of various tumor types. Additionally, I am in charge the acquisition, management, and analysis of Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) data generated by the Genomic Core Facility, supporting both internal projects and external collaborations.
