Sara Rubagotti

Rubagotti Sara obtained her Bachelor's degree in Biology and Biomedical Applications in 2011 from the University of Parma. During her thesis internship, she had the opportunity to delve into the field of psychobiology and conduct research in clinical psychiatry. Under the supervision of Dr. Alfonso Troisi at the University Tor Vergata in Rome, she specialized in the analysis of non-verbal behavior in psychopathological conditions and examined the role of salivary hormones and enzymes in mood and behavioral disorders. In 2012, she began her professional journey at the Hematology Department of AUSL-IRCCS in Reggio Emilia, where she served as a Data Manager and gained experience in managing, organizing, and analyzing data related to clinical studies.

Since 2013, she has been practicing as a Radiobiologist at the Radiopharmaceutical Chemistry Laboratory (RACHEL) within the Nuclear Medicine Unit of AUSL-IRCCS. In this role, she is involved in the synthesis and quality control of radiopharmaceuticals used in oncology for both diagnostic purposes, through PET technology, and in radio-receptor therapy. Her experience in Nuclear Medicine has driven her to further her studies in the pharmaceutical field. She is attendeding the post-graduation School in Pharmacology and Clinical Toxicology at the University of Ferrara. In addition to routine clinical activities, she is engaged in preclinical research, particularly in the analysis of radiotracers at the cellular and molecular levels, determining the specificity and selectivity of the radiopharmaceuticals towards target cells.
